"I developed a passion for photography through my love of bushwalking in Tasmania. Landscape photography naturally lead to close up, portrait and more candid photography, until eventually the opportunity arose to do wedding photography for some good friends.

Planning for my own wedding further enlightened me about other aspects of wedding photography and the importance of fluidity, flexibility and an unobtrusive but attentive approach to best capture the unique spirit of any wedding.

Having the opportunity to capture the many beautiful moments of a couples Wedding Day is a very rewarding experience for me as a photographer.

Richard is a medical student currently studying in Hobart, Tasmania. As well as an event photographer Richard works as a bushwalking guide on the Overland Track and is as passionate about bushwalking and Tasmanias Wilderness as ever.
